Spring 2017 Invitational Grants

Satterberg Foundation Invitational Grants are nominated by individual Board Members. These grants reflect the personal interests and passions of their nominators while also promoting a just society and sustainable environment. Each of the grants listed below is intended for one-year general operating support unless noted otherwise.

Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona

The Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing brain injuries and to improving the lives of individuals with brain injuries through prevention, education, information, and community support.

Community Boat Project
Port Hadlock, WA

The mission of the Community Boat Project is to build a stronger community through intergenerational education. They give disadvantaged youth a "sense of place" by connecting them to the environment, the economy, and especially the people of Puget Sound.

Fort Worden Foundation
Port Townsend, WA

The Fort Worden Foundation's mission is to preserve the Fort's historic legacy, support lifelong learning programs on campus, ensure its financial and environmental sustainability, and provide access to people of all ages, incomes and abilities.

Freedom Church of Seattle

Funding will support Freedom Church's Youth Violence Prevention Network (YVPN). The mission of the YVPN is to organize real support for youth and young adults, ages 5 and up to fulfill their goals, dreams, and visions; share the importance of nonviolence in our community; and, establish a network of young people and adults who will address the systemic and practical issues related to violence in our community.
